CORRECTED PUBLIC NOTICE – received from Commissioner Dallari’s Office on April 10, 2020 – It is our understanding in an email from Kendra Young, Commissioner Dallari’s Assistant, that pursuant to Florida law, the public comments section at the end of the meeting will be available to speak about items that are not specifically on this agenda.

 

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the meeting of the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners previously scheduled to be held at the County Services Building, 1101 East First Street, Sanford, Florida, Room 1028 (Board Chambers) on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 1:30 p.m., will now only be held virtually utilizing communications media technology made permissible pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Orders. This meeting may be viewed at http://www.seminolecountyfl.gov/departments-services/county-managers-office/sgtv/ and on SGTV.

Interested parties may call in live to the Commission meeting at (407) 665-0808. Speakers will be limited to three minutes. Please start by providing your name, address, and the number of the Commission agenda item(s) you wish to address. These hearings may be continued from time to time as found necessary.

A person who decides to appeal any decision made by any board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at its meeting or hearing, will need a record of proceedings. Such persons may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes).

Pursuant to Florida law
, the public has a right to be heard on all propositions, except when the Board of County Commissioners is acting on ministerial or emergency matters, or conducting a meeting exempt from Section 286.011, Florida Statutes. Public comment time on propositions shall be three (3) minutes for individuals and six (6) minutes for group representatives. The right to be heard during quasi-judicial hearings is governed by Florida law. The public will be provided the opportunity to be heard on non-agenda matters at the end of the meeting. Proper decorum will be observed.
